I love being the principal of Tehachapi High and Monroe High! We have an excellent staff who are ready to help students make their journey to adulthood. Whether you are a Warrior or a Panther, there is a team of adults behind you to support you through your high school experience. We love our students, our school, and our town!

VISION
THS’s vision is to provide an exemplary, challenging, and balanced education program for all students to prepare them to become responsible citizens and continuous learners.
 
MISSION
THS is committed to providing a comprehensive, challenging, enriching and academic environment for all students. Through the collaborative efforts of school, students, families and community, THS graduates will be ready to succeed in and contribute to an ever-changing, complex and diverse world
 
Tehachapi High School will prepare its graduates to be:
 
1. Socially Responsible Community Members who will:
    • understand and display the rights and responsibilities of life in a democracy
    • demonstrate tolerance and respect for the diversity of others
    • create positive post-secondary educational and vocational goals
    • be service-minded individuals making healthy life choices for themselves, the environment, and the community at large
    • find balance in academic, social, and competitive areas of life
2. Masterful Communicators who will:
    • read, write, speak, and listen thoughtfully and critically
    • develop a life-long relationship with the spoken and written word
    • negotiate with others respectfully using a variety of resources and technologies
    • express ideas through form, color, movement or sound
3. Critical Thinkers who will:
    • analyze and evaluate data
    • contrast different sides of an issue, develop hypotheses, predict outcomes, and draw conclusions based on evidence
    • apply problem-solving skills and logical-thinking processes in the classroom and to life situations
